Helping you

How we can help you

As a business authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to undertake debt collection activity, it is our duty to place your interests at the heart of all decision making and business practices. To achieve this, it is important that we: –

  • Understand your situation and align our processes and actions, to deliver a good outcome for you
  • Act in good faith and ensure our communications are clear and transparent
  • We never mislead you and always explain the consequences of not engaging with us
  • Avoid causing you foreseeable harm by understanding your individual personal circumstances
  • Help you achieve your own financial objectives wherever possible, by assessing your circumstances and negotiating a sustainable payment plan which will not cause you harm or detriment
  • Where you have a dispute, we will ensure that we have properly investigated all the circumstances, – to find a fair outcome for all concerned

For this to happen, we need to have open and honest communication as early as possible in the collection process. We will always make contact with you by sending several letters. Where our client provides a phone number or email address, we will also use these contact methods. All our communications clearly explain our role and the next step in the collection process. You can find out more about how we will use your personal data by reviewing our Privacy Notice HERE.

How You can help us

We ask that you make contact just as soon as possible in the collection process. We need you to be open and honest when sharing information with our agents. They genuinely want to help you to achieve the best outcome for all concerned including your creditor. It is also important that you let us know if your circumstances have changed as we are always happy to revisit an agreed payment arrangement.

Most important of all, please do not ignore our communications as it may well result in our client deciding to start formal court proceedings, which will incur yourself in unnecessary legal fees. For more Information: The Scottish Legal Process Explained
